When I emptied the first tank. . I said "What in the world? Which come from? So, you know what I should do next, right? Get another vacuum! But Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac is an amazing cleaning tool. I would recommend anyone on a budget for buy one. It is worth every penny. r rTip: ALL Follow the instructions. Instructions tell you clearly that the more you use a dry strokes better. I returned to the carpet after the "standard wet and dry 2 stroke 2) and I surprised at how much MORE can draw water from the carpet. High traffic area (the old carpet) will dry faster but the areas that you don 't walk on may be much more saturated and will require more dry strokes. R rTip: If you must use clean waves. . . more dry strokes will be needed to absorb all the additional solutions. R rTip: Make sure all your parts back to the way they should. I did not change the tank cover is right and not sucking any water (more than half of the carpet). Once I realized it and replace it with the right of all the water sucked in a short time. R Rif you read ALL the manual and follow the instructions you will have a clean carpet.

This is a reconditioned unit and so far is great. It is easy to use and has a great job. Saved us the cost we have used for the first time. The real question is how long will it take?

I bought it because I always had success with Hoover products.I have back and joint pain and something was light enough for me to address yet powerful enough to do the job. RI love, my carpet has never looked better, I have a black lab that allows me to live in his house so I was impressed by the ease of getting rid of the problem of dog hair. (My lab does not leave me Vacumn him everyday too). I would recommend this to anyone. Easy to install Easy to use. Done a great job for the price.

I bought this product today, because I was going crazy trying to clean the vomit out of our carpeted stairs. (I know, It 's disgusting.) I had a lot of problems for any solution to clean the work. I was a little skeptical that this machine could get the smell and cleaning of discoloration, but it really worked and I was very impressed. Like most reviewers, I think it is absolutely necessary to read the manual before using. It needs the attention more than a regular vacuum cleaner. However, the implementation was simple and the instructions are very easy to follow. After seeing the results, I use it to clean the whole house! The hardest part will be getting my husband to move the furniture!

I 've had mine about three years. When the mother wanted to have a similar vacuum, I am sure that she bought one just that. If the new are best, I don 't know what I know is this works. R rI just went through a terrible period of an aging dog that had to be put to sleep last week. He was losing control of bladder and bowel cancer had a growth on his lungs causing him to cough some really horrible things. I didn 't even have time to always use warm water. Hoover was standing the entire time. Even with the cold solution, the cleaning was amazing. If you saw the rug now, you 'd never have an idea I had a sick, dying dog spit up and have "accident " everywhere. R rI think my only complaint is that the top curved piece of plastic, where the liquid is sucked out of the carpet tend to clog up with carpet fibers, animal hair, to taste (no matter how good you first vacuum ). However, I discovered that it 's held in place by only three screws that are easily removed and then, easy to clean. R rI paid about double what they cost today. Still worth every penny. We have a new 2 year old male that had never been cleaned with anything other than a vacuum cleaner. We have 2 dogs and a 2 year old so I was expecting this thing to pull all kinds of dirt and grime that we couldn 't see from our light colored carpet. It did pick up quite a bit of dirt that was evident in the collection bin by the brown water, but it did not have that wow factor that had so many other reviewers. I think this is due in large part to our vacuum cleaner doing a tremendous job. We have the Hoover vacuum platinum and it made a huge differnce over our old vacuum. It 's basically the same as a Dyson from everything I can tell when it coems to cleaning power. I would be interested if anyone else had a similar experience. I don 't think it left much behind for the steamvac to pickup honestly. I guess I 'm glad there was not a ton or dirt and grime left behind that could only be extracted with a steamvac but at the same time I ' m like what did I spend my money for. r ri don 't have a lot of experience with either steamvacs but this one seemed to work well. Like others have said it leaves the carpet barely moist which is a huge plus for us since the kid or dogs are always running around. We didn 't have to banish them to other places for to long while it totally dried, which took only a couple of hours. Assembly was pretty simple and it didn 't take long to figure out how things worked. The attachment hose and tools are kind of funky to hookup but they did a wonderful job what little we used them. I 'm anxious to try them on the furniture which is a big reason we got this. THE ATTACHMENT IS BASICALLY peice to miniturized version of the floor cleaning peice Scrubber with rotating head and spray machines nozel that plugs into the cleaning solution. There is also a fixed brush attachment that I haven 't quite figured out what I would use it on. I would highly recommend reading all the instructions before putting this together steamvac gold trying to use it. r rThe overall use was fairly simple. Forward and back with spray trigger once and pressed forward and back again without the spray trigger pressed to pick up the solution. I did go over the carpet without the trigger pressed multiple times to pick up as much as possible solution but it honestly didn 't pick up much after the first dry pass. I 've seen lots of others complain that the collection bucket thread up to fast but this was not the case for me. I did 2 large rooms and filled it up twice. The vac Suction shut off when it makes this child up and higher pitched noise than normal. It is Louder than our vacuum btw, but your cleaning not trying to sleep when you run this, so I 'm not sure why anyone would care. Emptying the bucket was simple and not very messy as long as you don 't slosh around the collection bucket. I didn 't notice any leaks that weren ' ta direct result of me spilling something. The cleaning solution that came with the vac was more than enough for me to do 2 large rooms.I think I still have about 1 / 3 bottle left after filling up the cleaning solution bucket 2 and 1 / 2 times. The one complaint I have with using the steamvac was where the cleaning solution comes out when you squeeze the trigger. I 'm not sure if this is normal on all of them but the solution comes out well behind the brush so I found myself making puddles of solution behind the area and I just finished conversly I ' m not sure if any cleaning solution much close to the glass walls. After I figured this out and adjusted by letting off the trigger early and pulling the brush back further than I normally would and going parallel with the walls instead of perpendicular. It 's not a huge drawback but I would think the solution would come out right at the brush instead of 6-8 inches behind them. r rCleaning is pretty much a mandatory step after using the vac or caking I can see it up and eventually leaving the unit useless. This is probably why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. The brushes pop out easily but I do have 2 dogs and cleaning the hair out of the brush was a pain. The hair got stuck behind the brush and took lots of effort to try and get it to come up enough so that I could pull it out manually. It looked like I could take the brush apart but I did not want to bother with small Peic and unscrewing things. The clear suction side where you can see the water being extracted is great, but the recommended cleaning method is to poor water on the floor and suck it up to rinse it out. I dont 'think this step is as necessary as the brush cleaning but it seemed like it should be easier than making a mess on the floor to clean this peice. r rOverall for the value I would recommend this to others who want to save some money and clean their carpets themselves ... ..

We have almost 3 years of dirt built up in our apartments carpets so it is taking multiple treatments to get the carpets truly clean. We 've even been Able to remove black mold from some of the carpet in the bedroom with this machine. So far we 've had 3 different managers in the complex who have promised us a carpet shampooing each time. One of these was after the hot water tank leaked two floors above us about two years ago. There are also quite a few places where cats have sprayed when we were cat sitting. R RWE 've really noticed a difference in the air we ' re breathing, there are a lot less sniffles now. This machine is worth every penny spent on it! R ron actual usage on the extremely dirty carpet that we have one and use half measures of solution to tank. Where the carpet looks black use two measures of solution. It also helps to pre-treat some of the worst stains Which We are using Bissel "Pet Stain and Odor " for that.

The Hoover F5914-900 appears to be near the top of its class of consumer-level carpet cleaners both in terms of cleaning and value. It has been used a number of times and the cleaning performance is quite good as others have reported. We expect it to last for several years of typical household use. While the overall construction seems durable, there are some plastic parts that are thin enough to be worrisome. R rGeneral operation is somewhat easier than other brands and we have used this unit for longer Cleanse son of clean water. Extraction is excellent, especially if a second pass is made. It leaves the carpet damp, but not wet. Obvious spots and stains should be pretreated as with any other cleanser. R Rof course, no steam is actually generated or used by this "SteamVac " united. The temperature of the water is only as hot as you make it.

This product is not only easy to use, but does a fantastic job, even in high traffic areas.

This is a great carpet cleaner at a reasonable cost. That has two separate tanks, one for drinking water and one for dirty water, it was important to me. I do not 't want to mess with bladder "" used on some machines. The cord is long enough, the hose attachment is long enough and that 's easy filling / drainage. R 'rDon this dude!

Haven 't had any problems with this cleaner, except the button for the hand-held squirter gets stuck, so I ended up soaking some flesh. Figured out how to deal with that, so all is well. Love the freedom of being able to clean the carpet myself when I want to, a room at a time, instead of having a professional come over and do the whole thing at once on his schedule. This cleaner leaves the floor wet much less than the Pro, also.

I think the shipping cost for this product is more than the amount of product .. The shampoo works well but I wanted to find another source. I bought it with the Hoover shampooer from Amazon but it comes from another company then the extra shipping ..

I was very impressed with this machine. It's a very good job cleaning the carpet that hadn 't cleaned because I don ' t know how long. Others say that they have a problem with leaks, but I didn 't the meeting. When I ran out of the solvents, I use Arm & Hammer w / oxy and seems to work just fine and much cheaper. The only problem is to put the screws in the handle, because no clear direction.

I absolutely love my new carpet shampoos. I did some research before I bought it and I am completely happy with it. It is easy to use and does a fantastic job of cleaning, even my old worn carpet. I recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap shampoo, but good.

I must say that quite impressed! I've never had a carpet cleaner - nor had my carpets cleaned. I was going to get done professionally, but after reading consumer reports study on carpet cleaning that I decided to spend a little more and buy a machine that can be used multiple times. (a machine that cost the most $ 50 more to have a professional cleaning of your carpet once) Now, my carpet is dark green, so I can speak for how it would really show stains on the carpet ... but my carpet is old and knows that if the filth owners before us ever cleaned ... but it was certainly pick up an incredible amount! I did my whole house (probably to 1,200 square feet of carpet) in three planes to fill ... with some spare ... not spent much time and dries in an hour. If you're thinking of buying a carpet cleaner - it will definitely recommend this. R reales ... I recommend actually sit and read the game 6 of step-up guide ... I like to read but are simple instructions (with pictures) and necessary because your machine has no leaks. I've never written a review for Amazon, but I am an avid reader of them. I'm looking for a steam mop of some sort and I came across this product, I already have. Because these views have been so helpful to me, I want to leave your opinion hopefully useful to others. This product is fantastic. We have white carpets and two children ... not a good combination, but this is incredible. Even when I think the carpets are cleaned or in areas that almost no use, the water always seems dirty when I empty the dirty water compartment. It is easy to use, you can tell when you are short of water, and it does exactly what it says. I just use the hottest water from my tap and general clean floor. I move slowly around the room, but spray and soak the stained areas for a while. Do not hesitate on this. I have used the rented before this, and it does just as good a job if not better. I even clean my car with this, even though it's a little challenging with the size of the unit and attachments, but can be done. Great product

3 Hoover and you 'll buy another. We use it fairly regularly with 3 kids a dog and a cat, to the point where it consumes. E 'doesn ' t wear because of the quality of construction, but due to heavy use. R branches is by far the best price. Don 't look away.

Setting up the machine was fast and easy and only requires a Phillips screwdriver. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. I have only one room that afternoon and was on the amount of dirt this machine suck blown my carpet. Clean machine was relatively easy. Hoover has a great job on this machine.

I 'm always apprehensive of carpet cleaners that you buy rather than rent. Those red, box-seeking cleaners do the best job, but I 'm sure you ' re $ 800 if you want to buy one. Just can 't beat the desire to provide. RThis is a close second, though. I really like the following: r r1. A lot of brushes that scrub the carpet at the bottom - you can see them spinning! R2. Good vacuum pump that sucks most of the water, leaving the carpet only slightly damp after. R3. Lightweight, easy to maneuver R4. Attachments do a good job as well - there 'sa hand-held, spinning brush scrubber on the stairs. R rthe only thing I don 't like about this cleanser is the complexity of its design: r r1. The "catch tank " is a pain in the ass. The seal around is very picky, and if you don 't have it sealed right, won ' t suck water from the carpet. R2. The storage of hand cleaner upholstery is a pain, you insert the back of the device as a Chinese puzzle r r meu in all, I 'd choose this over any other carpet cleaner I ' ve tried.

I have two dogs, and let 's face it, the dog had an accident, and they don ' t wipe their feet when they come home. And though I have a wooden floor for that reason, I have carpet on them. I have been thinking about buying a steam VAC for a while now, and finally took the plunge with this one. The price was right and to the prime, 2-day shipping is free! (Yay! I love Prime! Amazon should pay me to promote it all the time.) VAC Getting out of the box and put together a little pain in the back, but once it was put together, it is very easy to use. I took another reviewers 'advice and pre-boiled water to "clean " tank. I am able to do a thorough cleaning of the 9 'x12 ' carpet and 8 'x10 ' rug using tank less than a clean solution (a few left when I finished) and just throw "dirty " tank at the end. Although the carpet I just about 6 months, I was surprised at how dirty and filthy water that comes out of them! Every person who hasn 't clean their carpets in a few moments to think about it soon. Now I have this steam VAC, I plan to clean the carpets every month or more to keep them looking and smell great. I used to have a small Bissell but the pain is so great to use (constant need to fill and empty the tank) and all attachments everywhere, therefore, never became accustomed to and eventually went to the Goodwill. I like how the VAC has a place to store all the attachments ON VAC.

I bought this after doing a lot of internet research and reading lots of reviews. Believe that, for the money, it 's an excellent choice. However, I am glad that I also have a Bissell SpotBot. I have an animal with a condition of the stomach and threw a lot, and SpotBot does an outstanding job of thoroughly cleaning these casinos. Since this has an overall cleaner "clean surge " feature, I hoped that it would be sufficient to handle the stains as well. It should work ok, but no where near what the SpotBot ago. However, for the overall cleaning of carpets, I 'm very happy with it. I would buy again.

I love it steamvac! It worked like it should. My carpet is light beige and is very dirty. I am very happy with the results after cleaning the first time. By going very slowly and following the directions, the carpet dryed VERY quickly. I have to empty the dirty water containers frequently, but that only helps the carpet dry faster. Coming just follow the instructions and you will have no problem.
