Not very well built. Engine quit after half a dozen uses. The need to change the adulation, sometimes. Very thin plastic tabs on the suction tube and filter. Do not buy again.
I have a 90 gallon, 55 liters and 2 liters up 10 tanks, all sand and gravel cichlid partial, and began using it in the tank of 90 liters. He worked at first, ooh, easy and seemed to catch the mud, and then began to suck a lot of sand, and it stopped working when a piece of glass stuck in the gravel on the rotor. So I had to end it. He continued to do so for a half hour since the engine continued to stop working, and gave up and went back to my siphon. It seemed that was grinding most of the time. It was easy to disassemble, but the batteries were not strong enough for what I expected to be worth $ 60.00. Still looking for a good vacuum.
Well, sa 'nice idea. Just vacuum the gravel to an aquarium net. Yippee. Too bad the t test No manufacturer put this matter before the sale. R REL "The power vacuum 'is so weak that ' s just not practical. The only thing this device spends its money, so it is. RProduct R is NOT recommended.
This thing is definitely not worth the money, at least for a marine aquarium with sand. It has sufficient power to pick up some sand, mix around and drop it down. It seems that 's clean sand, but in fact just buried the stuff I was trying to empty in October
I have an Eclipse System 12 aquarium in my office is not near a sink, so I 't use the syphoning water-powered systems that use a lot of folks. R rThe Eheim is the only solution I 've found so easy and efficient clean my aquarium. I have this tool because I can do with my time, vacuuming each section carefully, even digging in the substrate to keep it 'turned ", without having to worry about draining the entire aquarium before I ' m finished cleaning. The debris is collected in a fine-mesh containers are easily removed and rinsed. vacuuming the whole process takes me less than 10 minutes (which keeps the boss happy!), with the removal / replacement of the decking the festival. R rThe Eheim is really fun to use! By using weekly, sparkles my aquarium and my fish are not completely happy ... thro 'lost a single one to two years ( I have live-Breeders am and continue supplying fry my colleagues). I swear, the fish seem to really enjoy the whole experience! R rAlthough I use a siphon (a bucket) to do a little vacuuming and further to perform weekly 25% water changes, the Eheim is the main tool I use to keep things sparkling and my fish happy. I always get comments on how clean my aquarium compared to their home. R rFortunately I 've never experienced flooded battery housings or cracked a few others who have ... in fact, I haven t ' have changed the batteries in a year! r rFor around $[...] bucks, you can 't get a better aquarium cleaning solution for a remote location ... easy to use, convenient, fun, efficient and effective ... SOME products aquarium in the world can claim this?
I love this product. I ordered this because using a siphon was just not working for me in my 30 liter tank. I found this to be worth every penny I paid for two reasons. R rFirst , it 's easy to use and does a great job, clean the bottom of the tank and getting the gunk I needed to do so. R rSecond, stresses the fish out much less than the trap. The fish is this thing and poke him, be curious, where the trap was so traumatic for my fish. Even removing the fish trap was traumatizing. R rThis little machine does the job with my duty to take fish from the tank. They do not re 'fear and are much less stressed day cleaning the tank. Moreover, this machine has some 'catch when a fish gets basically prevents them from being killed or debris washed into the holder to be finally washed away. I 'm 110% happy with your purchase of this product. It 's made my life, and then my fish lives, easier.
I have a 50 gallon goldfish tank. You would not believe the mulm That accumulate after just one feeding, goldfish are SO messy! R rI Perform a water change Every three days, and after siphoning the gravel I of the second Ehiem vacuuming with the extractor. It is amazing how much mess I am Able to get out of the tank. R rI suppose the only con in this system is the Fact That It sucks batteries like there 's no tomorrow. If you plan to use this product frequently, invest in some rechargeable batteries (only about 20 bucks for a charger and four double A 's)
It received a broken battery compartment once worked as the water penetrated inside the battery compartment.
I'd say a gravel cleaner that I have not too much mud. The unit is well made big it is powerful (can use a little more) and manuverable, long lasting battery life, screen is very small particles, easy to know whether the device should be drained me clean up a mine time when cleaning a 30 gal. Just easily keep rinsing performance. The mesh filter on the cage I think that could tear if not careful moderation of the store. My 30gal takes about 20 minutes. Cher and how long it will last? I t 't know. I used my 10 times. Anyone need a Python? Very cool ....... THANKS!
I just get Sludge Extractor yesterday, and immediately opened the box and try it. This product comes in several pieces, and nothing was broken or cracked as other reviewers have experienced. They even include a battery for this extractor. Assembly is easy, and pressed the button to go get a small pump. I would say that power is the same with my sucting Siphon Gravel, certainly not strong and there is no way if I could suck the fish. (I have several Neon Tetras in the tank) a fine screen trap ' eek "and let the water flow out. Easy to use and easy to clean. Although for some reason, the pump will stop where 's own for no reason at all. I have no problem with the battery cover, it seems quite safe and never pop open where 's own. This product can be enhanced by a strong suction power. If not, it did as I expected from the product description.
Maybe you 'll Have better luck than me with this, But I ordered this item from Petco and received it with the crack in the battery compartment in an area That Will allow water to get in with the batteries. I returned it and They shipped the replacement. This Went on for four times in a row with each one with the Same manufacturer 's defect in the Same spot. I Went to the store and bought one and the 5th one HAD the crack too. Horrible quality control in my opinion. I 'd like to Have One That Works, I just haven ' t Been Able To Get One That isn 't cracked from the manufacturer evidently slamming the cap on too hard. That I worry even if the get the one, the plastic is so brittle or cheap That It Might crack When I replace the batteries. I called Eheim and Their voice mail Was full so I couldn 't even leave a message.
I have a 30 gallon aquarium, and this sludge is awesome, totally submersible STI comes with batteries, have it strong enough to suck the plants more than 2 '(elodeas), it is easy to clean, is a micro filter, larger enough to keep the sludge there, and you can clean without throwing water space that helps time between filter maintenance .. by the way, is a sludge extractor, your advise to do this, nothing more ... I recommend it 100%
Assuming that you put on four double A batteries in the right way, the unit will start to make a buzz, but what is beneficial in keeping an aquarium clean, I see no value. It 's a complete waste of money. The unit simply doesn 't have enough suction power to be useful.
I own a 75 gal Fresh water tank, in Need For water changes to clean bottom. REHEIM Battery-Operated Sludge Extractor runit is a great invention, fits my 75 gal tank, does great job in vacuum of Algae, sludge, leftover from fish food,, simple operation, ON Press Button on top, Simply pass vac head into bottom of gravel, dirt and sludge watch go up unit into filter chamber, tank water returns to tank thru filter cleaned, rinse under sink filter Fawcett, presto, you got a clean tank in 10 min. There RI beaten reviews gravel vacuum for almost a week. Look, this thing costs three times the normal vacuum batt 2-c. Just buy. What is impressive. The upper zone is seen in gray-white micro mesh is 6 inches of plastic to fill with junk. Simply press two buttons to go rinse off in detatch. Everything is submergable. Even the "on " the locks. So don 't have to hold it. I didn 't give a 5 because I feel I could add a cross in the impeller to not allow small stones to get up in there. I had a balcony which made me pull out the download section. Do not despair. Just be picky because this is a review. Uses 4 AA batteries included (Duracell) wow. It has great suction. I press the bottom stone all the way and it sucks really to the bottom of the tank. I rated this 4.8.
Works as advertised! RVery well designed and quality construction sets this product apart from those at low prices. RI was really impressed with its suction power and how it cleaned my effort 12 gallons in 5 minutes! Ref you read the instructions and suggested using it as you won 't be disappointed! It looks a bit big in pictures in the news, but it 's very easy to maneuver.
I have a tank of 90 liters and sometimes I don 't want to perform a water change to get to the bottom of the tank clean. I had previously multi-vac. I have no problems with that, except over time, the pieces won 't be together. I bought the sludge extractor (Petco) and I love it. He reaches the bottom of the tank and I did my 't have to drain all water. The pressure on the vacuum was more than enough. Relunctant I was a little bit about the procedure, but I 'm happy I buy it and recommend it to others. Just shop for the lowest price.
I think it a bit 'overpriced, but it works very well. Much better than have a hose to hook up with a tap.
